Mechanical Design and Analysis

Yankee engineers have many years of experience with the analytical modeling of heat transfer equipment including thermal analysis of heating and cooling systems as well as combustion processes.

In addition to our thermal expertise, Yankee is proficient in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, psychrometrics, tribology, machine design, and analysis of mechanical systems.  We consider these disciplines to be our core areas of expertise.   We have used finite element analysis to support both product development and problem resolution.

The diversity of our activities has further resulted in the development of analytical capabilities for fluidic devices, surface tension and capillary flow systems, acoustics and resonance of fluids, electronics, and aerodynamics.

The tools that we employ to perform analytical modeling include spreadsheets, TK Solver (an  equation solver software program), AutoCad, SolidWorks, and task-specific engineering programs.  To solve complex problems we can develop custom software using Visual Basic and LabVIEW.
