Yankee Scientific: The Practice of Ingenuity
We have both low power (up to 1 Hp) and high power (up to 10 Hp) Magtrol hysteresis dynamometer test stands. We have also developed and now operate a novel organic refrigerant based vapor power cycle test system that can supply high pressure and temperature vapor to expander and ejector devices under test.
We own and operate a Sheffield three axis Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) that is capable of measuring fabricated parts to an accuracy of +/- 0.0001 inches.
Our in-house materials testing tools includes a hardness tester, a Mitutoya surface profilometer and a Caltrex Scientific digital imaging microscope.
Our electronics laboratory is fully equipped with scopes, signal generators, power quality instruments, DC power supplies and a full suite of device programming tools. This group designs and builds custom circuit boards along with microprocessor firmware suitable to each application. Our data acquisition tools include both high-speed and multi-channel (temperature, analog in/out) DAC systems.
